Welcome to asteriskmonitor.org, the home of Asterisk Monitor. AsteriskMonitor is a free software, released under the terms of the GNU/GPL license, that pretends to give you an easy-to-use Java API for an Asterisk PBX. So, forget about sockets protocols and bash scripts: you will just need to connect to the Asterisk Monitor Server trought RMI, and start working with Agents, Queues, Terminals, etc. AsteriskMonitor is designed in a modular way. New functionalities (plugins) can be added or removed from the server while it is running (hot plug-unplug). You can design your own plugins to make the server do what you want: it can send you an SMS when the server falls down, or call you when nobody is connected in you company's office and you are out, etc. To learn more about AsteriskMonitor's structure and features, you can check the FAQ section. Anyway, if you are impatient, check out the downloads section and grab the latest stable release.
